Sony has a good idea?

Last week I posted about the future of gaming as digital distribution of content. Today I bring more good news along the same lines.

The Story

To be fair, all of the speculation is built on a question from a survey, however I am still very excited. It would appear Sony might be experimenting with an online rental service for PSP games. You would pay a monthly fee, and be able to rent games from the Playstation Network though the PS3. Presumably - you would be able to download games to your memory stick or new PSP GO! and be able to play.
What a great idea. I absolutely love this. For someone like me who only plays their PSP when they are traveling, this is a great idea. New games always available. Only pay the months that you play. No UMDs to store or carry around. How does this not work? Do people really replay their PSP games that much that they are actually worth buying? This should also cut down on more mainstream gamers looking into hacking their PSPs.
